  • How to Get Recognition for Completing the Course

    After reviewing these learning materials, students can register and complete the Introduction to Reception Centres course offered by the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) in partnership with Emergency Management BC (EMBC).

    Completion of the Introduction to Reception Centres course is a prerequisite for other courses in the Emergency Support Services Training Program.

  • How to Register for the Course

    Register now, using the JIBC online registration system. Upon registering, you will gain access to the following:

    • Course outline
    • Printable copy of the Intro to RC – Participant Guide
    • Quiz
      • You may refer to these learning materials and/or the participant guide while you complete the assessment
      • Prepare for the quiz by completing the Practice Quiz

  • How to Start Reviewing Learning Materials

    These learning materials may take up to three and a half (3.5) hours to complete. It is made up of an introduction and four modules. Each module will have one or more learning activities that can be completed so you can check your learning. On certain pages, you will also have the opportunity to review comments from previous learners, make comments and share your lessons learned with others who review these learning materials in the future. The comments will be saved onto the website and can be seen by anyone who visits the page.
